Linda

Pictured are (on the left) my parents, and (on the right) my godmother Linda and Jim Burge. Linda and Jim were the ones that introduced my parents on a blind date. Lucky for me! :) They have both passed on, Linda after a long battle with ALS, and I still miss her but am so happy she is no longer in pain. She loved our "gerber baby" Will. One of my favorite charities is the ALS Family Charitable Foundation, in her memory. This picture is a great one of my parents also, it was taken around 1975.

My Dad went in for surgery last night to have his gallbladder removed, after suffering pains from it all week. They also found out that he has ulcers. :( That is not fun but I hope he has a speedy recovery! Will was in tears when I told him Grandpa had to go to the hospital, but I told him he will feel a lot better soon.

july 31st

Tomorrow is a showing at 8:30am, and we have to be there this time to let them in. Today the plumber came and did part of the job (install new faucet, because we ran into some piping complications and needed a professional to figure it out). He needs to replace a different part of the pipes below the sink on monday, to ensure that it won't leak anymore. The faucet looks nice though, and no more water leaking everywhere on top. Our neighbor dropped off her spare key so at least we will have it for monday, as the water shutoff for all units is in their unit.

My parents and Julie arrive here on Tuesday and I am looking forward to seeing them all. Julie had her final yesterday for her summer class, so she has just 2 more classes to take in the fall.
